Kappa Kappa Psi

Kappa Kappa Psi is a national co-ed honorary band fraternity focused on service for college bands across the nation.

Since 1965, the Delta Upsilon chapter at Eastern Michigan University has served the EMU Bands by planning and assisting with March-A-Thon, providing refreshments for the bands at football games and other events, honoring bands members with awards, and assisting with events such as the Winds & Percussion Day.

Our membership includes twenty students that represent over ten different majors. We strive to keep a diverse body of members, and anyone can join regardless of major, gender, race, religion, or sexual orientation.

Tau Beta Sigma

Tau Beta Sigma is a co-ed national honorary band sorority dedicated to serving college band programs. As a sisterhood, we work to develop leadership through active participation within the band, and through it, to strengthen those traits which characterize excellence in music. As a chapter, we are dedicated to working for equality and diversity in collegiate music programs, and promote women in music.

During the school year, you'll see us helping the Equipment Staff on gamedays and practices, providing fun bonding activities for the band throughout the marching season, honoring exceptional band members with awards, and helping run many big EMU Bands events, including Winds & Percussion Day. Every year, we host a Women in Music Event, where a prominent woman in the field of music educates us on their experience in the music profession.

Our membership is currently 21 sisters who come from a diverse number of backgrounds, all different kinds of majors, and all different kinds of people.

Our chapter is a safe and welcome space for people of all genders, races, religions, and sexual orientations.
