The EMU Bands were delighted to welcome the Washtenaw International Wind Ensemble, Belleville Symphony Band, Monroe Jefferson Concert Band, Grosse Pointe North Wind Ensemble, East Lansing Wind Ensemble, Tri-County Symphonic Band, Traverse City Central Wind Ensemble, and Traverse City Central Symphony Band to the Great Lakes Concert Band Festival, a Music for All Regional Festival sponsored by Yamaha.

Congratulations to the ensembles for their stellar performances, featuring clinics with Dr. Andrea Brown, Professor Marcellus Brown, and Mr. Darrin Davis.

RESCHEDULED FOR SUNDAY FEB 16 at 7:00pm Join the EMU Wind Symphony as we travel through space and time to perform Patrick Harlin's newest work, The Time Traveler. As part of the commissioning consortium, EMU Wind Symphony will be the first ensemble to perform the piece after its premiere was given last month. We will also present the music of another Michigan-based composer, David Biedenbender, whose Enigma is a beautiful setting of variations based on Bach's Passacaglia in C-minor.

The 2024 winner of the William Stewart Concerto Competition, Walker Weirts, will be featured in a performance of Keiko Abe's Prism Rhapsody for solo marimba.
We look forward to sharing this exciting program of music with you, either in person or via our livestream.
